Description
ED RN
Overview
- 13-week assignment in an Emergency Department with a 25-bed unit plus halls.
- 12-hour shifts on evenings/nights.
- Emergency Department serves all ages and is a NYS Designated Stroke Center.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Nursing License in good standing.
- ACLS.
- BLS.
- PALS.
Unit Details
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 to 1:5.
- Charge nurse is not assigned to travelers.
- Nurse aides are available.
- Tele skills needed.
- Nurses need to read strips.
- Drips and vents are used.
- Hospitalist support is available.
- RT is available 24/7.
- Floor-specific orientation is provided.
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend required.
- Rotating holidays required.
- Start times are 3p or 7p.
Additional Notes
- All RTO must be included with the candidate’s submission and profile.
