Description
PICU RN
Overview
- Travel RN assignment in Idaho Falls, Idaho
- 12-week contract
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
Unit Information
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
- 16 beds
- Floor 2 & 3
- Floating area(s): ICU & NICU
- Rotating weekends, 4 weekend shifts a month
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Idaho
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- Experience in a Critical Care setting
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience working with Adolescent patients
- Experience with pediatric mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and nasal CPAP
- Experience managing tracheostomies
- Experience with managing arterial lines and central lines
- Competency in age-specific assessments from neonates to adolescents and young adults
Typical Procedures / Clinical Experience
- Management of advanced respiratory interventions, invasive lines, and continuous organ-support therapies
- Assistance in intubation, central line management, hypodynamic monitoring, and moderate sedation for specialized pediatric procedures
- Titrating complex drip and continuous infusions
Work Environment
- Team-oriented environment
- Pediatric-focused unit with a preference for candidates who enjoy working with kids and have a sense of humor
