Role

  • RN in Step Down/PCU

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • 1 year of PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Inpatient only
  • Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for travelers from November 1-April 1; declinations are not accepted

Assignment Details

  • 13 weeks
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48, must be indicated on submission form
  • Weekend hours as required by facility
  • No call
  • Float on a rotational basis to critical care cluster or med/surg
  • 26 beds
  • Patient ratio: 3:1 or 4:1

Unit / Patient Population

  • Floor: Cardiac Surg Intermediate 4D
  • Cardiac/Thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, alcohol withdraw, resp distress, insulin drips

Equipment / Systems

  • Philips monitors, chest tubes, art lines, wound vacs, pacer boxes, pacing wires, drains, EKOS, Nicom, BIPAP, Airvo
  • EPIC

Additional Notes

  • Black scrubs
  • Anything but black scrubs or Mercy-logo attire is unacceptable
  • Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
