Ultrasound Tech - General
Overview
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Location: Santa Monica, California
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00–15:30
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, alternate weekends, with possible call/standby
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Details
- General diagnostic studies
- No vascular except when performed with general studies
- No breast (mammo); may perform axilla or breast scan on ED patient, but not full breast scan like performed in mammo
- NICU baby head competent
- OB first trimester competent
- Procedures include thoracentesis, paracentesis, kidney biopsies, and liver biopsies
Required Qualifications
- Ultrasound Technologist with 2 years of experience
- Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- ARDMS
- Familiarity with Trophon High Level Disinfection
Preferred
- Familiarity with Trophon High Level Disinfection
Schedule / On-call
- Weekend requirement: rotating weekend call, 3 pm to 7 am
- On-call required: standby rotation Saturday 1500–0700 and Sunday 1500–0700
Additional Notes
- Locals accepted
- No floating between like units
- RTO must be sent at time of submittal
