Overview

• Travel assignment in Independence, Missouri
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Unit: Telemetry
• Building: Main Hospital
• 36 beds

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Management of vasoactive drips

Preferred

• NIH Certification

Unit Details

• Patient ratios: 1:3 AM, 1:4 PM, or 1:4 AM, 1:5 PM with patient care techs
• Typically total RN-based care with no techs
• Secretaries are scheduled 7am-7pm in the PCU and are available for resources
• Equipment includes BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Floating area: MedSurg Units
• Floating policy: PRN floats 1 time per week; FT/PT staff float in a rotation based upon dates; bonus shifts always float first
• Scheduling includes every 3rd weekend rotation and a rotating holiday schedule
• Patient experience expectations include bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
• Typical procedures include Central Line or PICC line placement
