ICU RN

Overview

  • Travel RN role in ICU
  • Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Schedule: straight nights or 50/50
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

  • ICU has 24 beds
  • Staffing includes 46 staff members
  • Patient ratio is 1:2; 1:3 for PCU boarders; 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity cases such as IABP, CRRT, and open hearts
  • Unit has 1 CCT/US during day shift if there are more than 10 patients

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Utah
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • Experience with rapid sequence intubations
  • Experience with central line placements
  • Experience with ventilators
  • Experience with vasopressors
  • Experience with arterial lines
  • Experience with bronchoscopy
  • Experience with chest tube placement
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience

Clinical Experience

  • Rapid Sequence Intubations
  • Central line placements

Floating

  • May float to PCU
