Unit Details

Unit Name: Stroke & Brain
Main building
16 beds
Patient ratio: 4:1
Tech support available
Equipment includes Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Telemetry, Bladder Scanner, and Doppler
Meditech documentation system
Schedule: 3 shifts per week and 3-4 weekend shifts
Floating: may float to any area where competency has been demonstrated
Navy Blue uniform required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Experience with cardiac drips
Experience with neuro checks
Stroke experience
Telemetry experience

Preferred Experience

Cardiac drips
Telemetry
Neurology experience
Basic dysthymia
