Role Summary

Performs CT procedures and related techniques to produce sectional and 3D images, and assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
• 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a radiologic technologist program

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of CT experience
• 6 months of CT experience
• ARRT certified R.T. (CT) license
• Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT procedures
• Review and document patient clinical history and contrast questionnaire
• Administer contrast media as prescribed
• Verify exam appropriateness and clarify prescriptions when needed
• Obtain outside studies and schedule them so they are available for comparison
• Evaluate radiographs in PACS for proper identification and diagnostic value
• Prepare patients for scanning and provide explanations and instructions
• Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during the procedure
• Work scheduled shifts, overtime as needed, and on-call assignments as needed
