Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

Temp assignment in Glens Falls, New York
13-week contract
Day shift
Cardiac Catheterization Lab / Cardiovascular Lab setting
Care includes acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations
Staffed 24/7 for emergency procedures during off hours, weekends, and holidays

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS
BLS
Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
Experience with cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
STEMI and STEMI call experience
Proficiency interpreting EKG & Hemodynamic pressure tracings
Conscious sedation experience
IV experience

Preferred Qualifications

Moderate Sedation Certified
EP experience

Assignment Details

Positions and immobilizes patients on the examining table following specified protocols
Performs continuous assessment of patient hemodynamics
Performs conscious sedation
Mixes and maintains IV/IC infusion and bolus
Alerts the physician to changes in patient responses
Assists the physician in interventional procedures
Recovery of patient to Phase I

Compliance / Submission Notes

Epic experience should be included on the profile
14-panel drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance
New and returning agency staff must complete onboarding training through Welle or CPI
Requested time off must be noted and verified at upload
No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted
Permanent address must be included in the profile and match the driver license or state ID
Travelers from certain New York counties are not considered for this assignment
Traveler must have their own vehicle
Profile must include work history, a current skills checklist, and one supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
