Location: Redwood City, California
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per week: 40

Unit / Setting

Unit: OR
4 beds in the main OR and 8 beds in the pavilion

Required Qualifications

BLS certification
At least 2 years of OR experience

Preferred

Can scrub
Cerner Surginet experience
Experience with CV cases
Experience with robotic cases

Schedule / Call

1 shift of call per week and every 4th weekend
No evenings
No weekends
Weekend requirement is not required

Additional Role Details

Charge nurse does not take patients/cases
Scrub techs are used
Floating is not required
Scrub color is provided by the hospital
1 week of paperwork orientation and 1 week partnered with a preceptor

Case Mix

Main OR: mostly ortho cases, including totals such as hips, knees, and joints
Pavilion: neuro and ortho spine, CV cases, general, gynecology, urology, and ENT
15–25 cases per day
400 cases per month
20–25% of cases are inpatient
Critical patients go directly to ICU from the OR
