About
Located just a few miles from Downtown Miami, Coral Gables is known for its tree-lined avenues and spectacular Mediterranean Revival-style architecture with fountains, plazas and parks. Giralda Plaza promenade is a popular place to stroll, hosting art galleries, unique locally-owned boutiques and restaurants. You can find many enticing shops and cafes along Miracle Mile, one of the most popular shopping districts in town. The city’s stars of the cultural scene include GableStage at the historic Biltmore Hotel, showcasing cutting-edge plays and Actors' Playhouse at Miracle Theatre, staging Broadway-caliber shows. Dining is impressive, from refined Mexican cuisine to traditional Italian at Caffee Abbracci, an institution for over 30 years. Coral Gables is also home to the Venetian Pool, America's largest freshwater swimming pool and the only one on the National Register of Historic Places, transformed from an abandoned rock quarry.
