RN - L&D
Overview
- Travel RN assignment in Richmond, Virginia.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Unit: L&D.
- Unit setting: 2nd floor, The Women’s Hospital.
- Unit size: 16 LDR, 3 OR, 3 Triage, 3 RR.
- Hours per week: 36.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience).
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
- Ability to interpret fetal heart rate strips.
- ACLS.
- AWHONN.
- BLS.
- NRP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at facilities with more than 3000 births per year.
Unit Details
- Typical procedures include labor, delivery, recovery, triage, antepartum, and circulating for C-section.
- 1st hour baby care is performed, excluding admission assessment, eyes and thighs.
- Breastfeeding assistance is part of the role.
- AWHONN ratios are the goal; assignments may be 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 for low acuity.
- In-house coverage includes 24-7 Hospitalist and Midwife coverage, Anesthesia, and Neonatologist.
