Overview

Travel assignment in Salem, Virginia
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Unit: Maternity Care Center
Floor: 2 West
Building: Main

Unit Details

9 LDR beds
8 PP/GYN beds
2 OR suites
23 wellborn nursery beds
EMR: Centricity Perinatal & Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
OB experience
ACLS
AWHONN
BLS
NRP

Preferred Qualifications

Cesarean section circulator, 1st assist, scrub

Staffing and Schedule

Day shift staff include Director, Manager, Couplet nurses, Birth response nurse, L&D nurses, and Scrub Tech
Night shift staff include Clinical coordinator or charge nurse, Birth response, couplet, L&D nurses, and Scrub Tech
Patient ratios: 3 couplets per nurse; L&D is 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural
4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
No call requirement for travel staff
Extra shifts may be available
