Overview

Travel assignment in Redding, California
13-week contract
12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Active BLS
ACLS
CA license
2+ years of ER experience
Experience working in a high-volume, high-acuity ER
Experience in a level II trauma setting or above

Preferred

PALS
TNCC
Travel experience

Unit Details

ER unit
28 beds, plus 4 fast track, 2 trauma bays, and hallway beds
Patient ratio: 1:4
Common patient types include trauma, stroke, peds, and psych
155 patients per day

Schedule and Work Conditions

Every other weekend
Holidays worked into perm staff rotation
Call: one day per month, with possible additional call depending on team rotation
Floating: no
Floor-specific orientation: 2-3 shifts
Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
Vents: yes
Hospitalist and intensivist in house 24/7
RT 24/7
Pharmacy 24/7
Tele: GE
EMR: Cerner

Additional Notes

Candidates may take trauma patients depending on experience
Holiday RTO will be considered but is not guaranteed
Onsite dysrhythmia test on day one for Telemetry, L/D, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs; pass/fail
