Job Summary: CT Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scans, adhering to safety policies.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary.
• Position patients safely, including those with limited mobility, using safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, ensuring images are properly identified and sent to PACS.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.

Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting).
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience (including Level 1 Trauma Center experience).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
• Experience with Siemens scanners.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Injection certification (willingness to complete during orientation).
• Knowledge of Philips equipment.

Work Schedule & Other Details

• Shift: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM EST.
• On-call and holiday coverage as needed.
• Start dates available: 2/2 or 2/9.
