Job Opportunity: ICU RN Day Rotate and EOW - 36hrs

Job Description

• Position in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Level III Trauma Center.
• Patient population includes adults with conditions such as Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock.
• Attendings and Residents are present 24/7.
• Floating required to Medical/Surgical units (up to 4-5 patients).
• Rotating shifts for day positions (“Day Rotate” between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a); night shift does not rotate.
• RN to patient ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity in ICU; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg.
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), with MICU experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Experience working with adult patients.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions).
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15), no exemptions.
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months.
• MMR vaccination or immunity proof.
• Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred.
• Tdap vaccine preferred within last 10 years.
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date.
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, national sex offender registry, and exclusion checks.
• Education verification and professional license verification required.
• Skills checklist and medication/dysrhythmia exams with minimum passing scores required.
• References: 2 within last 4 years, including at least 1 supervisor-level reference.
