Description

Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool - Registered Nurse

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Float pool position covering various pediatric units including:
- PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)
- NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
- Pediatric Med/Surg
- Pediatric PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
- Pediatric ED boarders
- Postpartum / Mother-Baby units
Must be comfortable working across pediatric specialties with prior NICU and PICU float pool experience preferred.
Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), totaling 36 hours/week.
Scheduling is block-based but block scheduling cannot be guaranteed or accommodated.
Work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Time off can be approved up to 40 hours.
Must adhere to the facility’s float policy.
Epic electronic health record experience required.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Minimum 1 year of float experience, including float experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) experience
NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) experience
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
