Description

Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Unit: 41-Bed Medical Telemetry Unit
Shift: 36 hours per week, rotating day shifts and every other weekend; night shifts are straight nights
Patient Population: Cardiac, Respiratory, Metabolic, Psychiatric, Substance Use Disorder, Genitourinary, Gastrointestinal
Clinician to Patient Ratio:

Days: 1:4-5
Evenings & Nights: 1:5-6
Charting System: EPIC

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Experience with cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen
Floating to other applicable units as needed
Rotating shifts required for day positions (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a); night positions are fixed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
