Description
Pharmacist Inpatient - Travel/Contract
Location: Kingman, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Hours
- Night shift: 10-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off
- Every other weekend required
- Approximately 30 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Arizona
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
- Previous night shift experience
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and participate in pharmaceutical services related to drug preparation and dispensing
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding drug dispensing and record maintenance
- Plan and schedule shift work, ensuring proper assignments and adequate staffing
- Compile charges for prescriptions and maintain accountability and cost records
- Maintain communication with medical staff regarding pharmaceutical supplies, formulary, drug usage, and regulations
- Compound, package, and label ointments, solutions, and bulk pharmaceutical supplies; mix prescribed drugs with IV solutions
- Maintain and support hospital formulary and inventory; reorder and stock drugs and supplies as needed
Work Environment
- Hospital census: 130-150 patients per day
- Dress code: Business casual
- Orientation: Every Monday
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID
- Background checks including 7-year search, SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, education verification
- Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Copy of transcript or diploma (or NSCH verification if unavailable)
- Certifications as applicable: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Two professional references within 3 years
- Annual skills checklist

- Locals and first-time travelers accepted equally
- Clear, passport-style photo required for badge
- Facility-specific forms and agreements must be completed as a priority
