Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Tuesday to Friday, 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM (4 days/week, 10 hours/day)
Week Hours: 40 hours
Patient Demographics: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Average Daily Census: 32 patients
Job Description
- No weekends or on-call required.
- Must have experience with Siemens CT equipment.
- No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required).
- No floating to other departments.
- Documentation system used: EPIC (IHIS).
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- AART CT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881).
- Background checks include SS trace, counties lived/worked, nationwide search, sex offender registry, and motor vehicle record if driving is required.
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start.
- Education accreditation verification required immediately after contract signing.
- High school diploma or GED verification required.
- Employment application and skills checklist required.
- Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leadership.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within one year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease.
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within one year or chest x-ray if positive. Annual TB questionnaire required.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12).
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella.
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination accepted).
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (medical exemption requires documentation).
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31).
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, PCP, propoxyphene).
- Fit mask test required annually for patient-facing roles; must be valid for entire assignment length or completed onsite during first week.
Additional Compliance and Training
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually.
- Fraud, waste, and abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually.
- Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually.
Parking
- Various parking permit options available for agency staff (costs and details subject to change).
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with Siemens experience who have prior travel contract experience and are seeking a stable 4-day weekday schedule without weekends or on-call duties.
