Description
RN (Registered Nurse)
Location
- Mountain Home, Idaho
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Travel assignment
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Unit Overview
- Labor & Delivery / OB float role
- Main assignment is Med-Surg, with work in OB as needed
- Covers labor, postpartum, newborn nursery, and OB triage
- May float to Med-Surg for general tasking when Women’s Services census is zero
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Idaho
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- Post Partum experience
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- PALS
Schedule Expectations
- Minimum of five weekend shifts per six-week schedule period
- Holidays as needed based on unit needs
- No call or standby requirement
Clinical Details
- RN will attend C-sections as the baby nurse only and will not circulate
- Common titratable drips include oxytocin and magnesium
- Telemetry is available if needed
- RN may need to read strips, with resources available for help interpreting them
- CRNAs are readily available with a 30-minute callback time
Experience Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Med-Surg experience is preferred
Orientation
- Two days of floor orientation
- POCT and Epic training included
Additional Notes
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies for candidate eligibility
