Emergency Center Registered Nurse
Location
- Albany, Georgia
Contract
- 17 weeks
- ASAP start
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- ED - Emergency Department (5 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- 1 or more completed travel assignments
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- CPI
- ASLS or NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Experience with MEDITECH
Preferred Qualifications
- CPI
- ASLS
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
Unit / Patient Population
- Emergency department with approximately 180–200 visits per day
- Cares for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics
- Handles trauma, neuro trauma, ortho, and CVA patients
Work Setting Details
- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Charge nurse present
- Nurse aides/paramedics on shift
- Security and patient sitters available
- Central monitoring techs
- Respiratory therapy available 24/7
- Pharmacy support available 24/7
- Nurses perform lab draws and start IVs
- 2-shift floor orientation
- Caribbean blue scrubs only
