Medical Surgical
Overview
- Travel/Contract RN role in Saint Louis, Missouri
- Start date is 3–4 weeks out per compliance tier
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- 36 hours per week
- Ratios: 1:5
- First-time travelers accepted
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Pending license accepted
- Local candidates are not accepted; 75-mile radius rule applies
- Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- No on-call
- No block schedule accommodation
- RTO limit: no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
Unit / Setting
- ENT, Plastic Surgery Unit
- Cares for patients with cuffed/cuffless tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, carotid blow out precautions, and free flap patients
- Telemetry required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- 2 years of nursing experience, or 1 or more years with Level I/Teaching Facility experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Government-issued ID
- Primary source verification of professional license
- NURSYS verification
- Employment application
- Unit-specific skills checklist within 1 year of start
- Two professional references
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask clearance
- Negative TB or chest X-ray
- Drug testing within 1 year of start
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
