Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Overview

• Temp role in Towson, Maryland
• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Maryland
• CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience in Educator roles

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures under general supervision
• Operates computed tomography and radiography equipment to obtain diagnostic images
• Prepares patients and examination areas, positions patients, and adjusts imaging equipment for CT procedures
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures, including with contrast materials and medications
• Uses sterile technique when applicable
• Transfers image data to PACS and V-RAD for physician review
• Maintains required records and technical documentation
• Keeps the work area clean, sanitized, stocked, and supplied
• Draws blood and starts IVs according to established procedures
• Assists with scheduling and patient flow for CT examinations
• Assists in instruction of CT equipment, operation, and theory
• Performs related clerical tasks such as filing, answering phones, relaying messages, registering, and scheduling patients

• Candidates may request off up to 1 week of contracted hours
• Orientations may be scheduled up to 6 weeks out
