Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work in a 28-bed operating room with 2 hybrid rooms for CV/Vascular procedures
• Handle approximately 60-75 cases per day including outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases
• Provide care for diverse patient types including GSW, stabbings, transplants, general surgery, GYN, urology, robotics, vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and open heart procedures
• 20% pediatric cases including open hearts, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies
• Hybrid room sees 5-10 cases per day including TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, and fistula revisions
• Must be able to scrub and circulate for various surgical procedures
• Minimum 2-3 years of acute care experience required
• Critical care and Level 1-2 trauma experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS
• Multiple shift options available: 6:45 AM-3:15 PM, 2:45 PM-7:15 PM, 10:45 PM-7:15 AM
• Schedule options include 3x12 hour shifts, 2x8 hour + 2x12 hour shifts, or 5x8 hour shifts
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend (Saturday-Sunday)
• OR operates 24/7, 365 days per year
• Monday-Friday operations from 7:30 AM-11:00 PM, skeleton crew after 11:00 PM for trauma and urgent cases
• Weekend operations from 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, skeleton crew after 5:00 PM for trauma and urgent cases
• Holiday coverage required
• On-call responsibilities dependent on shifts/service line with 30-minute response time
• 6-week schedule provided 2-4 weeks in advance
• No floating required
• Scrubs provided, free parking available

This healthcare facility is a Level I Trauma Center with Magnet designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center certification. The 794-bed medical center provides advanced surgical services including transplant capabilities for kidney and heart procedures, robotics, and hybrid cardiovascular procedures. The facility operates a comprehensive surgical program with 24/7 emergency surgical capabilities and maintains state-of-the-art equipment including EPIC EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing. The organization provides extensive support with charge nurses, resource nurses, anesthesiology monitoring, educators, and EPIC super-users.
