Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech

Job Details:

• Work rotating shifts with day shift hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or night shift hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday rotation every other holiday expected
• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience required with competency in c-sections and OB procedures
• BLS certification required; CST not required
• Must be proficient with c-sections and assisting with vaginal deliveries
• Perform CNA-type tasks including stocking rooms and helping patients with ADLs
• Assist with OBGYN surgeries including occasional tubal ligations
• Must have knowledge of aseptic surgical technique and preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment for surgery
• Work with EMR system EPIC, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and QS Centricity monitors
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available
• No floating required
• Schedule is managed by Lead RN on a 6-week cycle, provided 2 weeks prior to start

Facility:

This facility is a 131-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center offering comprehensive women's health and obstetric services. The unit includes 12 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 10-bed Level II NICU, with an average census of 60 to 80 births per month. The department is supported by a robust care team including 24/7 NNP coverage, L&D anesthesia on call, RT available around the clock, and hospitalist support.
