Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Monday through Friday schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float position - may float to general population units as needed
• Patient ratios: ICU 1:1-2, IMC 1:2-3, General Care 1:3-4
• 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years
• Travel experience required
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility not accepted
• RN license required
• BLS and PALS required - AHA only
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass Telemetry test prior to start - traveler has two attempts to pass with a passing score of 80% or higher
• Adult Telemetry Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole, with no incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks
• Pediatric Telemetry Exam requires identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
• Cardiac experience a plus; NICU experience a plus
• Key clinical skills include ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, hemodynamic monitoring, IV vasopressors, care of ventilated patients, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Treats patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults

This Magnet-designated pediatric facility provides specialized care in a healing environment designed exclusively for pediatric patients and their families. It is a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center featuring nationally recognized specialists across a wide range of fields. The facility is home to a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and a Level IV NICU, serving some of the most critically ill pediatric patients throughout the region and beyond.
