Description
PICU RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Madison, Wisconsin
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts, 7:00pm–7:30am
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Floating may be required to multiple units based on staffing needs
Unit / Setting
- 21-bed pediatric intensive care unit
- Provides care for critically ill or injured children and their families
- Patient mix includes acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- CV ICU experience
- CVICU experience
- Cardiac Stepdown experience
- General cardiac experience
- Basic Arrhythmia experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing
Additional Notes
- Parking onsite requires a permit through UW Transportation
- This is a pediatric specialty assignment
