Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg/Tele

Job Details:

• Day/Evening 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Will accept 4x12 scheduling
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays on rotation
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must have 3+ years of recent experience in Heme/ONC/BMT
• Level 1 trauma or similar size hospital experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• EPIC experience required
• Provide care for acutely ill patients including those undergoing bone marrow, stem cell transplant, and cellular therapies (CAR T), as well as patients at end of life
• Administer chemotherapy, assist with stem cell transplant procedures, bone marrow biopsies, administer blood products, access central lines and ports, and perform head-to-toe assessments
• Care for patients with complex disease processes including leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumor cancers, and complications such as Graft-Versus-Host Disease
• Participate in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change
• Telemetry exam required prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher
• Must achieve 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole
• No incorrect answers permitted on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks
• Traveler has two attempts to pass the telemetry exam; a third attempt requires submission of a cardiac interpretation review course certificate
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), Chemo (ONS/ONCC), and RN license
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
