Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The position involves providing direct nursing care to general medical and surgical patients, including those with short stay procedures, orthopedic conditions, and stroke care, as well as remote telemetry monitored patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW and EOH)
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 0 years of experience required; valid licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Teaching hospital experience, trauma level experience, familiarity with Epic and Cerner EMR systems, travel experience, and experience working with professionals requesting RTO (Request Time Off) from 7/15 to 7/18.
• Additional Information: The role requires float capabilities within scope of practice. The candidate must have at least 1-2+ years of Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience. The scope of duties includes EKG, IV insertion, medication administration, Foley insertion, vital signs, assessment documentation, assisting with rapid sequence intubation (RSI), and conducting point-of-care testing (blood glucose).
