Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) in Tallahassee, Florida. This role involves providing inpatient care on a labor and delivery unit with a focus on labor, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care. The position requires flexibility in floating to related units, including mother/baby and neonatal intensive care settings, and involves working night shifts.

Job Details:

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or Compact State license, AHA-BLS (American Heart Association - Basic Life Support), AHA-ACLS (American Heart Association - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring (Electrocardiogram tests for fetal monitor if no certification), at least 2 years of relevant specialty experience, preferably with Labor, Delivery, Pregnancy, or Mother/Baby units. Strong ECG interpretation skills and immediate newborn care experience are essential. Prior travel experience is not required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) or Mother/Baby care.
Additional Information: RNs will circulate and recover from C-sections. Orientation is scheduled every Monday. Epic training will be provided during the second half of the day at orientation; candidates may test out of training or complete full certification if necessary. Floating as needed in related units is required, with no block scheduling. Weekend shifts are three out of every four weeks, with one additional shift requirement.
