Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor and Delivery (L&D) department in Tallahassee. This position involves providing specialized care in a labor, antepartum, and postpartum setting, with floating responsibilities to supporting units such as Mother/Baby, NICU, or PICU. The role requires immediate start, with orientation sessions scheduled weekly, and a focus on delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Florida or Compact nursing license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring (or ECG certification), at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery or mother/baby care, strong ECG interpretation skills, and immediate newborn care experience. Prior travel experience is not required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with LDRP or mother/baby units.
  • Additional Information:
    • Floating is not required for this role.
    • No block scheduling.
    • The assignment begins on 08/17/2026 at a trauma level 2 facility designated as a comprehensive stroke and chest pain center, with a total of approximately 4000 deliveries annually.
    • The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 per shift.
    • All candidates will undergo orientation every Monday.
    • EPIC training is part of the orientation process; candidates will have the opportunity to test out of full training.
