Job Summary:
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is available in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care for newborns in the NICU setting, with a focus on rapid response and specialized scheduling. The position starts on 08/11/2026 and offers consistency in scheduling with a 12-hour shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours each, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, associate or bachelor's degree in nursing (RN), North Carolina state licensure, and at least 1 year of clinical experience in neonatal intensive care or similar setting
- Preferred Qualifications: NICU certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, EFM (Electronic Fetal Heart Monitor) training
- Additional Information: Orientation includes a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor. Scrub color codes are specified for different roles. Kronos clock-in procedures are provided, with specific codes for different types of shifts and activities. The use of tobacco products is prohibited on all campus properties.
