Description

Job Summary
Pediatric Floor RN Oakland, California. This position involves providing specialized nursing care on a pediatric inpatient unit. The role requires working a 10-hour day shift with the opportunity to float to other UCSF campuses. Candidates must be able to follow established protocols and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care for pediatric patients.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications, 2 years of experience in Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)/Pre-Operative (Pre-Op), Trauma Level I experience preferred, valid CA RN license with in-hand verification, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level II experience
  • Float: Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius
  • Additional Information:
    • Position located in Oakland, California, with the main site at 747 52nd St, Oakland, CA 94609
    • Must have experience in pediatric patient care, including PACU and Pre-Op care
    • Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required
    • Candidates must have previous charge nurse experience and familiarity with Epic charting system
    • Interdisciplinary support and specific procedures such as airway assessment and conscious sedation are essential
    • All required modules are non-billable, with completion prior to start date
    • Start date: 09/22/2026, with orientation registration on the Monday before the start date
