Job Summary:
The Operating Room Open Heart professional role is based in a healthcare setting that provides specialized cardiac surgical services. This position involves supporting cardiac procedures with a focus on independent scrubisting for coronary artery bypass grafts (CABGs), valve repairs, aortic repairs, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), Impella devices, chest tubes, and thoracic surgeries such as Vats, lung procedures, and pericardial windows. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work confidently and independently in a high-acuity environment, providing team support and assisting with various operational responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, from 06:00 to 16:30, with on-call responsibilities.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; experience with cardiovascular operating room procedures; ability to independently scrub CABGs, valves, aortic repairs, ECMO, Impella, chest tubes, and thoracic surgeries; team player capable of assisting across roles including 1st or 2nd scrub; adaptable to high-acuity settings; valid credentials related to the role; includes a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ECMO/Impella support devices; ability to assist in complex thoracic surgeries; operating room experience with cardiovascular procedures.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be capable of working independently within a busy, high-acuity environment, supporting team needs and maintaining operational efficiency throughout assigned shifts.
