Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Specialty in Open Heart Surgery in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves supporting cardiovascular operating room procedures as a Surgical Technologist with experience in open heart surgical environments. The position is scheduled for a 13-week assignment, requiring working four 10-hour days per week, primarily during daytime hours, with mandatory call duties including Thursdays.

Job Details:

• Shift: 4x10 Days (6:45 AM 5:15 PM)
• Schedule: Days, 40 hours per week minimum
• Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
  • BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) certification
  • NBSTSA, NCCT, or AST certification (required within one year of hire/transfer)
  • Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
  • CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Surgical Technologist experience
  • Recent heart experience
  • EPIC experience
  • No break in clinical employment greater than 180 days
  • Work history gaps greater than 30 days must be explained
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong cardiac experience highly preferred
  • Peripheral vascular experience preferred
  • Vascular and neuro experience a plus
• Additional Information:
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Patient Population: All age groups
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Response time: 45 minutes
  • RTO Policy: No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of eight RTO days during the 13-week contract
  • Facility type, EMR experience, and bed count must be listed on the profile
  • Travel required, and float required.
  • Managed interview required.
  • Florida AHCA clearance approval may take up to 14 business days.
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination policy applies; medical exemptions accepted with proper documentation.
