Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, located in the MS specialty area, provides comprehensive patient care in a hospital setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adult patients, ensuring adherence to professional standards and organizational policies.

Job Details

• Position Description: This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. It is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by the nurse or others under their direction. The role involves utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
• Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or a compact RN licensure, and BLS certification. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is preferred.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The nurse will be responsible for assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; reviewing patient history and physical, diagnostics, and laboratory data; formulating and revising care plans; implementing and coordinating patient care; evaluating patient responses; documenting in the patient record; participating in research activities; and contributing to unit or facility shared leadership.
