Contract | Overnight Shift | Monday – Thursday 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM EST; on call, callback, and holiday coverage per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services
• Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and insert IVs when necessary
• Position patients appropriately, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility, utilizing safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring images are correctly sent to the PACS system upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology with active ARRT certification
• Active New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum of two (2) years of CT Technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a patient, compassionate, and team-oriented disposition

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Injection certification preferred; willingness to complete during orientation is acceptable
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens CT equipment preferred
