RN Flex Pool – Intermediate/Progressive Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (1845–0715) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week (after initial orientation week) | No guaranteed hours
Key Responsibilities
- Float between multiple medical and surgical units, including a medical unit, a surgical acute unit, and a cardiovascular unit
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with unit-specific nurse-to-patient ratios (Medical 1:6 days/eves, 1:8 nights; Surgical Acute 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4)
- Operate and manage unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
- Adhere to professional nursing attire standards (clean scrubs) at all times
- Complete unit-specific orientation and training for each assigned float area
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Hawaii (must be obtained prior to start of assignment)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; up to 10 years preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Documented proof of required immunities (medical and religious exemptions not accepted in lieu of documentation)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certifications in PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, or ENPC
- Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit nursing role
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR systems
