Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

Thornton, Colorado
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: July 20, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Medical Acute Care unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Administer and monitor IV drips including heparin using Baxter IV pumps
- Deliver post-operative care for patients following radial cardiac catheterization procedures
- Utilize Meditech EMR system for accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with charge nurses and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) during night shift operations
- Apply SCD machines and other unit equipment in accordance with facility protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of current Med/Surg acute care hospital experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated ability to manage a general medical patient population
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting
