Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown / Cardiac Telemetry
Location
Greenville, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 3x12 (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend required; weekend coverage may vary based on need
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and continuous telemetry monitoring on a 32-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit serving patients with cardiovascular conditions on a 24-hour basis
- Deliver specialized care to Heart Failure patients, managing inpatient treatment and coordinating post-hospitalization care and services
- Perform continuous EKG monitoring and continuous oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry
- Administer intravenous and oral medications used to treat cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
- Prepare and facilitate patient transport for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures
- Provide holistic, patient- and family-centered care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the field; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of experience within the cardiac specialty
- Proficiency with Omnicell medication system
- Ability to float to other units and campuses as needed based on census demands
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac telemetry or stepdown setting
- Demonstrated competency in caring for Heart Failure and complex cardiovascular patient populations
