Job Title

Occupational Therapist (OT) – Inpatient / Acute Care

Location

Merced, CA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to inpatient adult and geriatric populations, including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary diagnoses
  • Float between inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings as needed
  • Participate in early mobility programs, including ventilator early mobility (Level 2)
  • Deliver hand therapy services as a significant component of the caseload
  • Document patient care using Cerner EMR
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary therapy team including PTs, STs, COTAs, and therapy aides

Required Qualifications

  • Active California Occupational Therapist (OTR) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience in an inpatient or acute care setting
  • Proficiency or ability to learn Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with stroke rehabilitation (JCAHO-certified Stroke Program environment)
  • Familiarity with total joint protocols (elective hips and knees)
  • Experience treating patients on ventilators or in ICU settings
  • Hand therapy experience
