PACU Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities

Deliver age-specific, direct patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit setting
Provide nursing care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with established Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards
Assume leadership responsibilities, including appropriate delegation of work to other levels of staff
Maintain compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Active ACLS certification prior to contract start date, or a booked course at time of Clinical Orientation
Active BLS certification prior to contract start date, or a booked course at time of Clinical Orientation
Active PALS or ENPC certification prior to contract start date, or a booked course at time of Clinical Orientation
Experience in PACU or post-anesthesia care nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience in a leadership or charge nurse role
Familiarity with specialty-specific standards of patient care in a surgical or perioperative environment
