Contract | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (Days or Nights) | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Monday–Friday with every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a mixed-acuity pediatric patient population ranging from general medical to stepdown/IMC level care
• Manage and monitor patients with pulmonary lines, respiratory failure, tracheostomy dependence, and ventilator dependence, including CPAP and BiPAP
• Care for patients across a variety of specialties including neurology, diabetic management, nephrology, and spinal fusion
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census requirements
• Accurately document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Medical-Surgical experience required, within the last 3 years
• BLS and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association only)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
• Must successfully pass a pediatric telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for intermediate and stepdown-level pediatric patients
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
