Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all assigned areas
- Perform patient assessments upon admission including medical history interviews, vital signs, lab work, and review of diagnostic tests such as x-rays
- Develop, plan, and implement written care plans under the direction of a physician
- Administer medications safely utilizing proper visual acuity and hand-eye coordination standards
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Uphold patient safety standards and interact respectfully with patients, families, and care team members while honoring individual cultural, lifestyle, and religious considerations
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Active New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Ability to perform standard patient assessments using basic clinical equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Prior clinical experience in an emergency or specialty care setting preferred
- Specialty certification in Emergency Nursing preferred
- Membership in a professional nursing organization
