Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Location
Tucson, AZ | Acute Care – Emergency Department (Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, STEMI Receiving)
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3x12s)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe patient care delivery
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
- Float to other units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Willingness to float as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge Nurse experience
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (recommended but not required)
