Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday – Friday, varying shifts (7:00am – 3:30pm or 9:30am – 6:30pm) | No weekends, no call, no holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
• Position patients and perform PET/CT imaging procedures, ensuring proper techniques relative to patient age and ability
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope, standards of practice, and organizational policies
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations
• Analyze imaging results, identify quality issues, and take appropriate corrective action including repositioning and repeating procedures as needed
• Monitor patient condition continually, report and respond to changes in status, and maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PET/CT experience
• ARRT certification in CT
• NMTCB CT certification
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the NMTCB, OR Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT Nuclear Medicine (NM) certification
• Active New York State License
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with GE PET or Philips PET scanners
