Seasonal Travel RN – PICU

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a 20-bed PICU with a 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratio
- Operate and monitor equipment including Philips monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps
- Perform and assist with conscious sedations and care of patients in respiratory failure, including ETT and HFOV management
- Maintain and care for central lines and assist with CT placement
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a free charge RN, bedside RNs, and PCTs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current PICU RN experience
- Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Post-operative cardiac experience
- Venous puncture skills
- Flexible, team-oriented approach with a helpful and humble demeanor
