Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Perform IV starts, insertion of foley catheters, and insertion of NG tubes
• Administer and monitor heparin drips and perform EKGs
• Document patient care accurately using the Paragon EHR system
• Occasionally float to inpatient rehab or the ED for task-based support as needed (rare and unlikely)
• Work weekend hours as needed with no on-call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina
• Required certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and BLS
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment completed
• Must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-turnover Med/Surg environment with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Familiarity with the Paragon electronic health record system
• Experience in a Joint Commission accredited acute care facility
