Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting managing diagnoses such as respiratory failure, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, CVAs, and post-arrest patients
- Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilator management, invasive line management, and management of trachs, ostomies, and general drains
- Operate within a 1:2 ICU patient ratio (based on acuity), with potential to float to other units within scope of practice
- Utilize EPIC EMR for all clinical documentation; operate Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness, including potential assignment to ED Holding or ACLS transport roles as needed
- Maintain strong communication and patient teaching/education skills across all care settings
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR required
- Telemetry competency required prior to or upon start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with higher-level ICU therapies such as CRRT, hypothermia protocol, rotoprone, or manual prone positioning
- Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Experience working in a Level III Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
